The Chinese tuition and enrichment class in Le Xue builds a strong foundation in Chinese language for students in Singapore, nurtures a strong interest in Chinese Language and its culture as well as equips students with the skills and knowledge needed.
What are the types of Chinese learning programmes available for the primary students in Singapore?
There are 4 types of chinese tuition programmes:
1. 3R Rapid Chinese Character Recognition Class
Through our proprietary 3R learning method, our students will learn how to recognise, remember and read Chinese characters in a fun and meaningful way. They will learn Chinese up to 5 times faster through creative activities and become an independent reader!
2. 3R Joyful Learning Program
Align with the Singapore primary school Chinese syllabus, this program helps students in Singapore step-by-step to score full marks for the easy sections in Chinese examination. They will start to build more confidence in aiming for AL1 in Chinese in an engaging and effective manner.
3. Composition & Oral & Comprehension Class (COC)
Through the COC technique, our students will learn how to tackle the challenging PSLE Chinese composition and comprehension in a creative way. They will be equipped with the critical skills to score well in the PSLE Chinese examination in Singapore.
4. Le Xue ‘4-in-1’ Class (Combination of 3R Joyful and COC Programs)
Align closely to the Singapore primary school Chinese syllabus, this class enables our students to grasp the Chinese vocabulary ahead of their peers. Our students will learn everything they need to master the Chinese paper components, from comprehension, composition to oral and listening.
What are the types of Chinese tuition available for the secondary students in Singapore?
There are two types of Chinese tuition programs:
1. Secondary Chinese Language
Align to the MOE syllabus, this class reinforces all language skills and imparts learning strategies and techniques. Our students will practice and focus on all the Chinese examinable components. They will be aware of current affairs and able to engage in discussion on popular topics through specially-designed activities.
2. Secondary HCL & IP
Through this class, our students will learn to master usage of Chinese idioms and figures of speech in essays. Students will participate in brainstorming and discussion in small group learning, acquiring critical thinking based on current issues and evaluating the most updated news reviews.
What’s so special about the 3R Independent Reader Program?
Our students have learnt Chinese 5 times faster and become an independent reader after going through this program developed by our Principal, Ms Vivien Le. The students will learn how to Recognise, Remember, and Read characters through specially curated play activities such as speech & drama, songs, flash cards and word games.
